Kristen LaMarca, PhD, DBSM
Kristen has spent over two decades exploring the science and practice of lucid dreaming. Since 2010, she has collaborated with Lucidity Institute, co-teaching intensive retreats and conducting scientific studies with Stephen LaBerge. As a psychologist with expertise in behavioral sleep medicine, she integrates lucid dreaming into psychotherapy and nightmare treatment, emphasizing creativity and connection rather than controlling your dreams.
With extensive experience facilitating a wide range of group formats, Kristen's style balances structure with openness, creating a supportive container that allows participants to explore what works best for them. She draws on established models from science, psychology, and contemplative wisdom to help your practice deepen naturally over time.
Her work has been featured in major media outlets such as USA Today, British Vogue, Engadget, and NPR’s KPBS. She is also the author of Learn to Lucid Dream, a modern guide to inducing and benefiting from lucid dreaming.
